Random lines to make us better people through perfect harmony … or something like it.

Built in a night for an art assignment on “perfect composition” ala Le Corbusier

For an art assignment, I was told to construct an image based on the principles of Modernism ala Le Corbusier where “perfect form and composition” will make us all better people. We were to choose 3-5 numbers and use these to construct our image.

I chose 3 numbers: 3, 7, & 9

• 3 (trinty, christian holistic symbol)
• 7 (judaic holistic symbol)
• 9 (interesting mathematical properties)

An OpenGL/Glut application was constructed to visualize this relation by applying it to a matrix of random numbers with the range 0-9. The # of lines in each cell = the frequency of that number.
