• Repetition of the same action can result in a greater actions:

• • hitting a nail with a hammer once is not so useful
  • repetition of hitting a nail with a hammer can build a house

• Repetition of drawing actions can result in greater actions:

• • draw one line
  • draw one line, but repeat and move one pixel each time can create a filled rectangle
